My story will explore how people from different political parties utilize social media. The first thing I will observe whether they use social media to get information on the candidates and campaigns. I will talk about the differences between the parties, even though it is a minute difference. From the graphs, it seems as though Republicans are more politically active on social media compared to Democrats. I will use percentages to discuss the differences. Another thing I will talk about is the viewpoint of political news. Republicans tend to follow pages that have similar views to them, while Democrats are more likely to use neutral sources.

I will briefly talk about twitter usage among the two parties. When I analyzed the data for different types of twitter usage, there was not enough information, so I will not go into detail. However, one interesting trend I observed was that nobody used twitter to follow a candidate or campaign.

After that, I will use Tableau to document the different reasons for using social media for political activities between parties. People will be able to select Republican or Democrat only to observe a specific party. The graphs will also show whether people see it as a major or minor reason for using social media.

I will end with the demographics of which states had republicans and democrats. This graph will also come from Tableau. In total, I will use 10 visualizations.
